2012 Blackpool Chess Conference - Venue Details

We are pleased to announce that the 2012 Blackpool Chess Conference will be held over the weekend of 9^th-11^th March 2012, again at the excellent venue of the Barceló Blackpool Imperial, North Promenade, Blackpool, FY1 2HB (telephone 01253 754619).

Barceló Hotels & Resorts have improved their superb playing conditions for chess players at the Imperial Hotel, Blackpool. The Median and Minor sections will now be played in The Washington Suite. The Washington Suite, Blackpool's Premier venue for wedding receptions, is situated on the ground floor at the opposite end of the hotel from our usual Lancastrian Suite. This spacious suite will enable all chess players in both rooms to have more comfortable playing conditions.

Barceló's commitment to improve all aspects of their hotels now means that the Imperial Suites, previously used, are being turned to junior and teenager play areas to offer more to all their guests at the hotel.
