Welcome to the website of the Blackpool Chess Conference - the largest weekend chess tournament in Britain. The event is run under the auspices of the Lancashire Chess Association and takes place every year in March.

2012 Blackpool Chess Conference - Venue Details

We are pleased to announce that the 2012 Blackpool Chess Conference will be held over the weekend of 9^th-11^th March 2012, again at the excellent venue of the Barceló Blackpool Imperial, North Promenade, Blackpool, FY1 2HB (telephone 01253 754619).

We have confirmed an extra playing room to provide an even more comfortable environment. This room, "The Princess Suite" will hold the largest section (probably the Median or Intermediate). In the Main room the Major will be relocating back to join the Open, Minor and the section not in the Princess Suite. The Standard will again be in Lancastrian 2 with Lancastrian 3 being used for analysis.
