28th Blackpool Chess Conference - 12th to 14th March 2004

Held at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool (over five rounds).

Mark Talbot, aged 13, from Warrington club Knights, shared a grading prize in the Chess & Bridge Standard. Here are three of his games, all annotated by Mark himself. Mark was on maximum points going into the final round and had to play Philip Jackson from Axa (Lytham). Philip won the game and so finished in first place, winning £500. On four points, Mark shared the 70-74 grading prize and took home £25. Thanks to Mark for taking the time to annotate these games.
